In 1946, $1 was worth $12 today. World War II had just ended, and a new prosperity and optimism were sweeping the nation. Still, housing for returning veterans was scarce, so when Congress passed the Veterans Emergency Housing Act in May, guaranteeing $400 million for new factory-built homes, an opportunity was born. Little did anyone know our vision of building not just houses but buildings of every kind and character would be realized so completely.

The company founded in Atlanta more than 60 years ago now has offices in Atlanta, Austin, Orlando, Raleigh and Tampa, with projects that span 28 states, the Caribbean and Mexico. Office buildings, hotels, retail centers, condominiums, universities, healthcare and public assembly projects grace the skyline and our portfolio. Hardin Construction Company, LLC stands tall on its foundation to work with the owner and make every structure the best building possible for the money.

Countless examples of negotiated contracts throughout our history attest to the trust our clients place in us. We’ve seen markets, economies, competition and technology come and go, but we’ve persisted by building customer relationships that last, industry knowledge that’s ever deepening, and the financial stability to weather these storms. Under the leadership of Chairman Brantley Barrow and President Bill Pinto, we continue to embrace change, even as we live out our company’s founding values of integrity, fairness and excellence in every action.
