This position requires a bachelor¿s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field; or equivalent experience. To perform the work of this position normally requires at least (3) three years of applicable experience in construction, including the interpretation of engineering drawings and specifications.

  • A. Experience in quantity survey, bid package scope analysis.
  • B. Working knowledge with On-Screen Takeoff, Timberline Estimating Extended, Excel, Bluebeam PDF viewer. A working knowledge of Revit and Navisworks and of ISqft bid invitation application is preferred.
  • C. Responsible for document control to include printed documents as well as electronic files.

Position: BIM Modeler
Location: Atlanta, GA
Develop, integrate, coordinate, and manage digital Models for design, construction, and field use during construction. Produce and maintain virtual models throughout the life of a project. Coordinate with project team members to assist in the management of shop drawing/model production. Map virtual models to the building schedule for simulation. Review virtual models produced by architects and/or engineers and evaluate conformance to schematic design, design development or construction document requirements. Coordinate models with Cost Planning and Estimating for quantity extraction to enable Model Based Cost Planning. Help refine and manage our BIM application capabilities, technology, and training programs, and provide training and support to our operations staff to leverage Hardin¿s Virtual Design and Construction capabilities. Research, develop and implement, and continuously update a documented best practice process for the use of supporting new Virtual Construction technologies.
 Qualifications include:
  •  Bachelor, Associate degree or other higher education from an accredited college or university with an emphasis on CAD/Virtual Construction Modeling. Architecture, Engineering, and/or Construction majors preferred.
  •  Minimum of 2 years experience in Virtual Design and Construction. Experience to include working in commercial construction, or a related field with projects that have increased in complexity demonstrating the advancement of the individual¿s skills and knowledge.
  •  Experienced in the production of design documents and design detail drawings.
  •  Experience in producing virtual models and 2D construction documentation.
  •  Preferred software expertise in one or more of the following applications: : Autodesk Revit Architecture, Autodesk Revit MEP, Autodesk Revit Structure, Autodesk AutoCAD Architecture, Autodesk AutoCAD MEP, Autodesk 3DS Max, Autodesk Navisworks Manage and Simulate, Autodesk Design Review, Autodesk QTO, Google Sketchup
