John P. O'Hara
Senior Vice President

A senior officer and partner at Hardin Construction, John O’Hara is a member of the company’s Executive Management Committee and chairs its Strategic Planning Committee as well. Responsible with positioning the company for short and long-term profitability, Mr. O’Hara works with Hardin business executives to anticipate trends and enact initiatives that will result in meaningful, well-paced growth. Working in a dual role, he balances this strategic view with a more direct focus on developing new business opportunities and relationships in Atlanta and our new office in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Prior to his current assignment Mr. O’Hara was the senior officer and leader of the Corporate Services and Retail business units. During this period he developed corporate and retail relationships with such Fortune 500 companies as NORTEL, Capital One, Nordstrom, Simon, and CarMax, among others.

Mr. O’Hara sits on the board of directors of CoreNet Global, Atlanta Chapter. CoreNet Global is a trade association for corporate real estate. In addition, he is active in charitable organizations within the Atlanta area. Mr. O’Hara is an alumni of the Cobb County Leadership Association and has also served as a past chairman of the Facilities and Technology Committee, an appointment by the Cobb County School Board of Education

Mr. O’Hara joined Hardin in 1989 and is a Registered Architect and graduate of the University of Oklahoma School of Architecture. Mr. O’Hara spends his leisure time with his family and is a avid sports enthusiast staying active with snow skiing, trout fishing, bird hunting, and other outdoor activities.
