Richard Peebles, Jr
Richard Peebles manages and directs one of Hardin’s business units, applying his 24 years of construction expertise to the task of leading all business development, preconstruction and construction operations. With precision he has focused and expanded his engineering background to encompass all facets of project management, project planning, preconstruction, cost consulting, purchasing, scheduling, estimating and value management. Mr. Peebles joined Hardin in 1994 as a project manager and is now a senior officer and company shareholder. He has been responsible for numerous types of projects, including office buildings, higher education, retail, high rise residential and healthcare totaling several million square feet. Mr. Peebles has worked with clients in both the private and public sectors throughout the Southeast, including Atlanta, Savannah, Raleigh, Charlotte, Greensboro, Odessa, TX, Tampa, and Miami. He is involved in various industry associations, particularly in the healthcare arena, including GHA, GACH, and GSHE, and holds a construction certificate from ASHE. A member of Roswell Presbyterian Church, Mr. Peebles has been a “perpetual” member of the church’s building committee, working on three large expansions over the last decade. Through RPC he has been active with Habitat for Humanity, the church’s AHMEN program, and Central Presbyterian’s night shelter. He has also led fellow Hardin associates to join in service projects such as the Atlanta Community Food Bank. Mr. Peebles is a member of Pinetree Country Club and can often be found on its golf course. He has also been involved in recent years with Junior Achievement, volunteering in middle school classrooms mirroring his children’s ages. A 2003 graduate of Leadership Cobb, he has remained active within this organization and currently serves on its alumni association’s board of directors. Richard is involved with his son Cam’s baseball team, and enjoys watching his daughter Lilly compete in equestrian events. Mr. Peebles holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, Georgia, and remains an avid supporter of Tech athletics. |
